Skopje, 23 December 2025 (MIA) — The Just Transition Council at the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources reviewed Tuesday the 2026 Just Transition Implementation plan to see if it was operational and implementable, "with clearly defined activities and projects, responsible institutions, a timeframe, necessary resources and a mechanism for monitoring progress," an official press release said.

"Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska stressed that its successful implementation in 2026 would require strong institutional coordination, clear roles and active involvement of all relevant institutions, with the council and the workgroups issuing regular progress reports," the release said.

Council members stressed that the 2026 plan was a key document for guiding the country's just transition activities and meeting its obligations under the EU's Growth Plan reform agenda. The Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources will coordinate the plan's activities until their completion.

"After today's discussion and alignment, the plan will be made ready for further formal adoption so the country can enter 2026 with a clear direction and priorities and a stronger focus on implementation and results," the release said. mr/
