Skopje, 21 March 2026 (MIA) - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs, Bekim Sali, visited Saturday on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day the Elementary School with Resource Center "Idnina", an institution recognized for its commitment and professional support to children with special needs, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

During the visit, Sali pointed out that this experience was not only institutional, but also deeply human. He praised the positive atmosphere and the commitment of the staff, highlighting the importance of building an inclusive society where every child has equal opportunities for development.
"Every smile, every hug and every step forward is a testament to the strength and potential that these children have. They do not need pity, but opportunities and understanding," he said.

The Deputy PM stressed the responsibility of institutions to ensure quality education, dignity and respect for all children. He added that engagement in concrete policies that support families and children with special needs will remain a priority.
Sali called for continued social and institutional engagement, underlining that inclusion and equality should be part of everyday life, not just symbolic days.
