CMC head: Radovish fire fully contained
Strumica, 16 July 2024 (MIA) - Crisis Management Center (CMC) head Stojanche Angelov said Tuesday that the wildfire burning near Radovish has been fully contained thanks to the efforts of the firefighters, the Mayor and the local residents whose support has been tremendous in battling the blazes.
According to Angelov, this means that the fire can no longer grow or spread, but smoldering hotspots are present near the fire line.
The fire near the village of Shturovo over Radovish, on the Plachkovica mountain, started burning Monday afternoon, threatening nearby houses and holiday homes.
