Blinken on September 8: US will continue to support North Macedonia on European path
Skopje, 8 September 2024 (MIA) — On behalf of the United States of America, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated the people of North Macedonia celebrating 33 years of independence.
"The American people and people of North Macedonia share a commitment to democratic values. We look forward to continuing our work together to promote those values, enhance security and stability, and deepen economic ties in the region. The United States will continue to support our Ally, North Macedonia on its European path in the years ahead," Blinken wrote.
He also extended his congratulations on the country's historic election of the first woman president in May.
"We value our strong partnership with North Macedonia focused on building a prosperous democracy anchored in the Euro-Atlantic community," Blinken wrote. mr/
