Attacks on sovereign states a serious threat to regional and global stability, Mickoski tells UAE President

Skopje, 2 March 2026 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has held a phone call with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"Macedonia, as NATO member and strategic partner of the United States, remains firmly committed to the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. In times of growing uncertainty, it is essential to focus on responsibility, coordination with allies, and a clear commitment to preventing further escalation," PM Mickoski told UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
During the phone call, Mickoski has expressed sincere solidarity with the people of the UAE and deepest condolences to the families of the victims in the attacks.
"Attacks on sovereign states and threats to the civilian population represent a gross violation of international law and a serious threat to regional and global stability," Mickoski stressed in his post on Facebook.
In the conversation, he has also underscored the need for increased care and coordination for the safety of Macedonian national in the region.
"I noted that state institutions are fully mobilized, closely monitoring the situation, and stand ready to provide prompt support and assistance as needed. Macedonia, in the context of its strategic interests and alliances, will maintain principles, and continue to act carefully and responsibly, in the interest of stability and security," said Mickoski.
