Skopje, 27 March 2026 (MIA) - The Ministry of Education and Science said it has adopted the Education Strategy 2026-2032 and its Action Plan.

Over the past few months, the Strategy was designed through broad discussion, with the participation of numerous stakeholders - EU Delegation, UNICEF, World Bank, GIZ, UNDP, Economic Chamber, Swiss Embassy, Education Development Bureau, Center for Development of Vocational Education, State Exam Center, State Education Inspectorate, university professors, NGOs. The working group is comprised of over 100 members nominated by key stakeholders, four national conferences took place with more than 500 participants, while experts carried out consultations with over 5,000 respondents, the Ministry of Education and Science said in a press release.

It adds that the document is focused on the development of a new programme for preschool education, inclusion in elementary and secondary education, application of new school financing formula, improvement of infrastructure, optimization of the school network and single-shift operations, new final exam concept, development and promotion of informal education, and new regulations in the fields of higher education and science.
