Manaki Brothers festival to give Bitola its own Walk of Fame

Skopje, 7 September 2024 (MIA) — As of this year, the winners of Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers Film Festival's lifetime achievement award, the Golden Camera 300, will receive marble-and-brass stars embedded in Bitola's Shirok Sokak.
According to festival director Simeon Moni Damevski, all previous Golden Camera 300 winners will also receive stars at this year's festival, which is in its 45th year.
Each star will bear the name of the winner and the year they won the lifetime achievement award, Damevski told MIA.
The first two stars will be dedicated to the Manaki brothers, he said.
Bitola's "Walk of Fame" will start from the Manaki Cinema and continue in the direction of another Bitola landmark, the Officers' Home.
Festival organizers will unveil 18 stars this year, with six of the previous winners attending to unveil their own stars at a red carpet ceremony.
Also attending and unveiling his own Walk of Fame star will be this year's Golden Camera 300 winner, French cinematographer Bruno Delbonnel. mr/
