Skopje, 12 April 2026 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday – the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ – Easter, extended greetings to the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia, HH Stefan, and to all Orthodox believers.

I wholeheartedly wish that peace, love, health and the spirit of God moved into your homes, Siljanovska-Davkova wrote.

“The resurrection of Christ is the cornerstone of Christianity, an eternal source of hope and the essence of humanity. It contains the deepest truth that through sacrifice, patience and love, people rise coming close to the divine,” read the greeting.

In times of social turmoil, major temptations and strong and moral challenges, she said, we have to persevere united over the values of love, solidarity and mutual respect.

“May we open our hearts for the loved ones, increase our care for the vulnerable and awaken the spirit of unity. May the light of Christ’s resurrection give us strengths, wisdom and unwavering faith as the eternal principle of human existence. Christ has risen! He is truly risen!,” President Siljanovska-Davkova said.
