President Pendarovski receives credentials of new Cuban Ambassador

Skopje, 27 September 2023 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski received Wednesday the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Cuba to North Macedonia, Marieta García Jordán.

At the ceremony, President Pendarovski noted that the Ambassador’s appointment represents yet another confirmation of the friendly relations between the two countries, both on a bilateral and on a multilateral level.

Wishing the Ambassador a successful term, President Pendarovski voiced expectations for a further, continuous strengthening of relations and cooperation between North Macedonia and Cuba. 

“I sincerely believe that the future development of relations and cooperation, between our two countries, will represent a positive example and a challenge to constantly promote them with new activities in specific areas, specifically in the field of healthcare, economy, culture, tourism, and other areas of mutual interest,” said President Pendarovski.

In her address, Ambassador Marieta García Jordán voiced the complete readiness and commitments of the Republic of Cuba to further strengthen the overall relations between the two countries, especially in terms of political dialogue, cooperation in the field of culture and education, as well as encouraging economic cooperation.
