Third tranche of Hungarian loan funds transferred, new EUR 41.2m for domestic economy: Minister 

Skopje, 14 May 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Finance said Wednesday it transferred the third tranche of Hungarian loan funds to the Development Bank in the amount of EUR 41,2 million in support of domestic companies. 

“Today we are injecting new EUR 41.2 million in the domestic economy. With these funds alongside the two already paid out tranches totaling EUR 84.54 million, we are encouraging significant investment activity in domestic companies and the domestic economy. That’s a total of EUR 125.7 million in funds that the Government has directly injected into the domestic economy. These are projects that will provide a significant contribution to economic growth and will be a step towards the realization of the projection of 3.7 percent,” Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said.

EUR 250 million are projected for domestic companies in 2025, aimed to support investments in the private sector and stimulate economic activity. Companies can apply for funds through the corporate banks.

Companies can receive the funds under exceptionally favorable conditions, with a repayment period of up to 15 years, including a grace period of up to 3 years and an interest rate of 1.95 percent, as well as no approval or management fees, the Ministry said.
