Skopje, 14 May 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is set to attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers on Wednesday and Thursday in Antalya, Türkiye.

According to the Ministry, top diplomats at the meeting are expected to exchange opinions and positions regarding preparations for the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague, current geopolitical events, security challenges and threats, as well as the future directions and priorities of the alliance. A special emphasis will be placed on continuing support for Ukraine, strengthening deterrence and defense capabilities, as well as adequate budget spending for defense as a prerequisite for an effective collective security.

At the meeting, Minister Mucunski will present the positions and contribution of the country as an active and committed NATO ally, in the context of further strengthening of the alliance and its readiness to face current and future security challenges. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister is also expected to hold several informal meetings with his counterparts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said.
