Mickoski: Alternativa’s participation in this government is wrong move
Bitola, 1 December 2021 (MIA) – Any kind of participation by Alternativa in this government is a wrong move, but this is up to the party leadership and its president, said VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski on Wednesday. “I am not familiarized with the contents of the discussions between Zaev and Gashi. Our position is clear – this government is the most corrupt executive over the past 30 years, putting Macedonia at the top of the crime and corruption perception ladder in Europe. We are a country that has the most uncompetitive education due to the catastrophic reforms, the situation of the health sector is awful and we are among the top three states according to the number of people who died due to the government’s incompetence to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. The disaster in the energy sector will be felt in the people’s pockets as of January 1. In conclusion, any kind of participation of Alternativa in this government is a wrong move, but this is up to the party leadership and its president. I would refrain from interfering in the affairs of other political parties because it is a political lack of manners,” Mickoski told reporters in Bitola. He added that if Bulgaria vetoes the start of EU accession negotiations with North Macedonia again, the country’s security would not deteriorate. “I heard an incumbent Deputy PM saying there would be security problems. Let me assure citizens such problems would not occur and say that the only security threat to the state is the SDSM-DUI criminal coalition. I wouldn’t want to believe in the attempt to manipulate and instill fear among citizens by politicians who are not able to see forward,” noted Mickoski. Regarding the coming VMRO-DPMNE congress, Mickoski said he would file his candidacy for party leader this week.
