Skopje, 6 June 2024 (MIA) — Supreme Court judge Isamedin Limani and Bitola Appellate Court judge Aleksandar Kambovski are the two new members of the Judicial Council, according to results summarized by the election commission after Thursday's vote. 


Judges on Thursday were voting to elect two new members of the Judicial Council, one from the Supreme Court and one from the ​​Bitola Appellate Court. Voting began at 8 am at seven polling places, which were open until 3 pm.


According to the Law on the Judicial Council, council members who come from the ranks of judges have a six-year term of office and can be elected one more time, provided at least six years had passed since they had held the post the first time. mr/
