COVID-19: 889 new cases and seven fatalities in past three days 
Skopje, 15 August 2022 (MIA) - North Macedonia on Monday reported 889 new COVID-19 infections, including 199 reinfections, after a total of 2,095 tests were performed in the past three days (August 12-14). There were also seven deaths and 1,228 recoveries in the same time period according to the Public Health Institute, the Health Ministry said. Of the new cases, Skopje registered 390. Three patients in Skopje, aged 81, 84 and 90, one in Veles, 85, one in Ohrid, 82, one in Struga, 72, and one patient in Kriva Palanka, 91, died of Covid-related complications over the weekend. Three deaths are also registered in the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities, recorded in the period from July 27 until August 8. At the moment, 3,559 cases are active nationwide, including 1,445 in the capital Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,136,393 tests, recording 335,451 COVID-19 cases and 322,468 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,424.
