Skopje, 30 October 2023 (MIA) - Police detained late Sunday two 18-year-olds from Shtip after they were caught transporting 23 migrants from Syria, including 10 minors.

After failing to stop at a police signal on the A1 highway, the driver of a cargo vehicle entered the town of Veles, where he veered off the road and drove into a ditch. One minor was hurt in the accident, whereas the driver attacked a police officer while detained.

Police investigation in the case is underway.
