PPO: Three more suspects in 'Additive' case

Skopje, 24 April 2025 (MIA) - The Public Prosecutor's Office (PPO) said late Thursday that three more individuals are now suspects in the "Additive" case, resulting from the extracted electronic evidence during the investigation.

The first suspect was a member of a group that committed crimes 'Abuse of public call procedure, awarding a public procurement contract or public-private partnership', 'Abuse of office' and 'Money laundering and other proceeds of crime'. As an employee in one of the suspected legal entities, he helped the managers of the suspected legal entities violate the public procurement procedures by receiving significant amounts of funds, which were recorded as travel expenses.

The second suspect, an employee in Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM), made available data considered an official secret through WhatsApp to a person indicted in the "Additive" case. 

The third suspect, a president of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC), made available data considered an official secret through Viber and WhatsApp to a person indicted in the "Additive" case. 

The "Additive" case relates to the abuse of procedures and money laundering in the procurement of coal additives for Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM), with 31 individuals and five legal entities indicted.
