Nightclub fire suspect’s detention replaced with house arrest following appeal

Skopje, 29 April 2025 (MIA) - The Shtip-based Appellate Court said Tuesday it has accepted the appeal of suspect E.M. replacing his detention with house arrest and additional precautionary measures as part of the investigation into the deadly blaze at the “Pulse” nightclub in Kochani. The Court dismissed seven other appeals.
Dubbing them as “unfounded” the Court dismissed the appeals of suspects K.B., N.I., R.Ch.D., M.S., B.H., M.Gj. and R.D., as a result, their previous detention or house arrest measures will remain in place.
Sixty-eight people and three legal entities are suspected in the investigation into the March 16 fire at the Kochani nightclub, which took the lives of 62 people.
