Justice Minister signs extradition request for Ljupcho Palevski

Skopje, 6 December 2023 (MIA) – Justice Minister Krenar Lloga signed Wednesday the extradition request for the prime suspect in the murders of Vanja Gjorchevska and Panche Zhezhovski, Ljupcho Palevski who was arrested in Turkey on Tuesday.
“Minister of Justice Krenar Lloga signed the extradition request for Ljupcho Palevski, and as soon as it is translated in Turkish it will be forwarded to the Turkish authorities, i.e., the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey. We expect cooperation from the Turkish judicial bodies and swift action on their end, after which Ljupcho Palevski will face the judicial bodies in our country,” said the Justice Ministry of North Macedonia in a press release.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Justice Ministry informed that extradition proceedings have been initiated, and they’ve sent a request to the Turkish authorities that Palevski be kept in detention until the completion of proceedings.
