Skopje, 12 May 2025 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski on an official visit to Sweden visited Monday Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, which had provided medical care for four patients injured in the March 16 fire in Kochani.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Mucunski met with the management of the hospital, which was ranked the fifth best hospital in the world in 2025.

He thanked the entire medical staff for their solidarity, high level of care, expertise and professionalism.

Meeting participants discussed possibilities for establishing institutional cooperation between the Macedonian and Swedish health care systems in terms of exchanging experiences, expertise and support.

"We now need to relay these contact details and opportunities to the institutions in Skopje and, together with our colleagues, to actively start developing this cooperation," the foreign minister said. mr/
