Xhaferi: Let's continue to promote country, ensure well-being today and for future generations

Skopje, 5 May 2024 (MIA) - Caretaker Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi has sent a greeting wishing happy Easter on his personal behalf and on behalf of the Government to the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia HH Stefan, member of the clergy and all Orthodox Christians in the country. 

"The Easter message about the victory of life over death is a message that inspires hope that for life, every step of courage and sacrifice is worth taking, a step that leads to a bright goal. The common good is a blessed human endeavor, and it can only be achieved if the basic postulates that the numerous examples throughout history point to are respected," reads the greeting. 

Especially in today's context, it adds, when humanity and the world are faced every day with different challenges that threaten life, peace, health and mental well-being, messages of hope, unity and faith in that common good are needed more than ever, based on the practice of universal values ​​such as humanity, solidarity, responsibility and mutual respect.

"Your role carries great responsibility and I wish you wisdom in fulfilling your noble mission. I wish you to spend the holiday in good health, peace of mind and happiness among loved ones. Let's continue to promote the Republic of North Macedonia with understanding, mutual respect and united, and ensure well-being today and for future generations," caretaker PM Xhaferi says in his greeting.
