Skopje, 21 May 2025 (MIA) - The Macedonian public will be informed about everything and every cent spent as part of the strategic agreement with the United Kingdom, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Wednesday.
PM Mickoski said no provision from the agreement would be hidden and assured transparency in the process.
"We will not secretly adopt a law in the Parliament, by abusing the EU-flag procedure, as the now-opposition did. We will not classify documents, but on the contrary, the Macedonian public will know what we sign, under which conditions, prices of construction works, contracting companies. We do not intend to hide any information from the citizens," Mickoski told reporters.
On the issue of hubs for migrants and asylum seekers being part of the UK agreement, the PM said there is no need to spend time on a non-existent topic.
"We can't make up topics. We can now make up a topic of being dark outside while seeing daylight. Isn't the statement of the British Ambassador not enough? No camps, no migrants," noted Mickoski.
