Brussels, 21 May 2025 (MIA) - High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, will travel to the Western Balkans on May 21-23, including a visit to Skopje on Friday, MIA reports from Brussels.

During the visit, High Representative Kallas will meet with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, the EU External Action Service said in a press release.

Kallas will also open the first Security and Defence Dialogue between the EU and North Macedonia with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Timcho Mucunski and visit the Balkan Medical Task Force Standing Organisation (BMTF SO) in the presence of Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski.

In addition, she will also engage with local youth, students and young professionals.

Prior to her visit to Skopje, HR Kallas will travel to Serbia and Kosovo.

This is Kallas' second visit to the region after her tour in Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina in early April.
