Skopje, 13 June 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met with Kosovo counterpart Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu as part of Thursday's Summit of heads of state and government of the participants in the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Skopje.

Interlocutors assessed that both counties have excellent political dialogue and expressed interest for further strengthening the overall bilateral cooperation and good neighborly relations, the President's Office said in a press release.

President Siljanovska Davkova said that in the interest of further stabilization and economic prosperity of the region it is necessary to invest in regional cooperation, and consistently implement reforms to ensure the smooth running of the European integration process for the countries in the region.

Both presidents exchanged opinions on the region's European perspective, including the political and security challenges in the region and on a multilateral level.

Noting that both countries are significant trade partners, they also expressed readiness for further promotion of economic cooperation and infrastructure connectivity, reads the press release. ssh/ik/
