President Pendarovski meets with Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Džaferović
Skopje, 28 September 2021 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met on Tuesday with a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, who is paying an official visit to North Macedonia. They, the President’s Office said in a press release, discussed enhancing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, with special focus on intensifying economic cooperation and increasing trade exchange. Interlocutors, the press release read, underlined at the meeting friendly bilateral relations free of unresolved disputes and expressed readiness to further enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. Pendarovski and Džaferović also discussed the possibility of establishing a direct flight from Skopje to Sarajevo, as well as a Bosnian language department in North Macedonia. Moreover, President Pendarovski stressed North Macedonia’s interest in improving cooperation and trade exchange with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is lagging behind good political relations. During the meeting, the press release noted, interlocutors discussed the EU aspirations of both countries. President Pendarovski reaffirmed North Macedonia’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European aspirations and expressed readiness to share experiences about the NATO accession process. According to the release, interlocutors also talked about current events in the region.
