Toshkovski: Sports facilities at Ponikva police resort renovated

Skopje, 21 May 2025 (MIA) – Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski and Minister of Sport Borko Ristovski opened Wednesday the renovated sports facilities intended for training of police officers at the Interior Ministry’s resort in Ponikva.
According to the Ministry of Interior, Toshkovski reminded about the recently signed memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Sport.
“Together with the Ministry of Sport, we recently signed a memorandum of cooperation to upgrade, renovate and enhance most of the sport facilities at the Ministry of Interior. Investing in training facilities for police officers is an investment in the country’s stability and security,” Toshkovski said.
Within a month, as he stated, the foundation was laid for a football field and a fitness are with the installation of all necessary equipment.
“The fields for football, basketball, and volleyball were equipped with polypropylene flooring, marked, and fitted with new equipment. They also received stands with two rows for spectators to watch the games. We are demonstrating that through good planning and cooperation between institutions, clear vision, and determination, conditions can be created that meet the modern needs of the police,” Toshkovski emphasized.
"Moreover, through this cooperation between the two ministries, work is ongoing on renovating the sports facilities at the Interior Ministry Training Center in Idrizovo," reads the press release.
