No response yet from PM Kovachevski to share details from Skopje-Sofia talks, says Miloshoski
Shtip, 12 April 2022 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE’s parliamentary group hasn’t received a response to its request demanding that Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski address before the Foreign Policy Committee in Parliament and share details from the Skopje-Sofia negotiations, VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Miloshoski said Tuesday. It is a sign, he said, that PM Kovachevski has something to hide from the lawmakers and from the public. “It is time Kovachevski to demonstrate his democratic capacity and reveal what is being negotiated with Bulgaria,” Miloshoski told reporters during his visit to Shtip on Tuesday. According to him, a closed session could be also organized instead of a public hearing. Asked whether any information is circulating, the opposition MP said that according to his party’s diplomatic sources, a non-paper has been prepared and circulating between the foreign ministries of the two countries. “The document is kept secret so far and is not being shared with the Macedonian lawmakers. As we have seen, frequent consultation meetings have been organized in Sofia and the politicians there have been informed about the talks with Macedonia. Unfortunately, the MPs in Macedonia are kept in the dark and we have to learn from sources in Bulgaria,” Miloshoski.
