Pristina, 18 November 2024 (MIA) - Sharing experiences and good practices between the two countries is essential in strengthening the capacities of the public sector, Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev told Monday's joint session between the Macedonian Government and the Government of Kosovo, held in Pristina.

In his address, Minchev mentioned public administration reforms, as a key priority for ensuring efficient, transparent and inclusive governance.

As part of the visit, the Minister of Public Administration held a meeting with Kosovo's Minister of Local Government Administration, Elbert Krasniqi.

"Interlocutors discussed possibilities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in several areas, with a focus on public administration reform and support in building the capacities of the public administration," the Ministry of Public Administration said in a press release.

The joint government session is an indicator of good neighbourly relations with Kosovo, cooperation that will continue to intensify in several areas in the interest of the citizens of the two countries, adds the press release. 

"The Ministry of Public Administration remains committed to regional cooperation as a key element in the successful implementation of reforms and moving closer to European standards of governance," the Ministry noted.
