Skopje, 27 October 2022 (MIA) — VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski met Thursday with the United Kingdom’s Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach, who is on a two-day working visit to North Macedonia. Attending the meeting with Sir Stuart, who was accompanied by British Ambassador Matthew Lawson, were also VMRO-DPMNE’s Vlado Misajlovski and Dragan Kovachki. Meeting participants discussed the latest developments in Europe, the energy crisis and the need for solidarity. “VMRO-DPMNE as a party is strong in the fight against crime and corruption, a commitment that we don't see in the government, and because of which we consider it necessary to bring about changes,” VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release after the meeting. During the meeting, the release adds, Mickoski presented his plan for the country to become “completely energetically stable, in terms of electricity production, under a VMRO-DPMNE government.” Special Envoy Peach said the UK would continue to support the country in its development. mr/
