Skopje, 22 December 2021 (MIA) – SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski and party secretary in charge of international cooperation Bojan Marichikj met on Wednesday with an OSCE delegation, led by the Head of Mission, Ambassador Clemens Koja. Kovachevski thanked the OSCE Mission for its contribution to election processes and election legislation, as well as advancing democratic values, rule of law, police work and interethnic relations. “The OSCE is an important international organization and has contributed to the democratization of our entire society. Its support and commitment to elections and election legislation is crucial,” stressed Kovachevski. In regard to North Macedonia’s 2023 OSCE Chairpersonship, he noted that the country should use next year to better prepare for the role and set a positive example for the region and Europe.
