Skopje, 19 July 2021 (MIA) – The government made during its Monday session additions to the draft revised budget for 2021. The budget will be returned to Parliament to be adopted at a plenary session. “Focus will be put by the end of 2021 on managing the effects of the pandemic by increasing investments through direct support for companies, creating new jobs via attractive employment measures, as well as offering assistance for development of micro, small and medium enterprises. Assistance will be enforced through creation of various funds and similar instruments for support of export companies, small and medium businesses, as well as social enterprises,” the government said in a press release. The press release added that the government remains committed to supporting the economy by investing in infrastructure projects, redesigning the structure of public finances through increased participation in capital expenditures, as well as strengthening the process of planning, execution and reporting on public finances.
