Skopje, 14 February 2023 (MIA) - The citizens of Skopje and surrounding areas felt an earthquake Tuesday afternoon, which was registered by the Seismological Observatory. Its epicenter was in Romania.
"The telemetric seismological network of the Republic of North Macedonia, with stations in Skopje, Valandovo, Ohrid, Shtip and Pehchevo, maintained by the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, registered an earthquake today, 365 km northeast of Skopje, coming from an epicentral area in Romania," the Seismological Observatory said.
The earthquake occurred at 14:16 with a Richter Local Magnitude of 5.8 and an intensity of IV degrees according to the European macroseismic scale. dk/sk/
