Skopje, 10 September 2024 (MIA) - North Macedonia has a fresh start, partners in the Government have no baggage and are prepared to counter corruption, promote economic development and improve standard of life, says Deputy PM and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti.
Deputy PM Mexhiti is paying an official visit to Washington for the 9th annual Central and Eastern European Energy Security Conference, organized by the Atlantic Council.
"This is a new coalition comprised of four political entities, a revolutionary thing on North Macedonia's political scene. We need some time to align ourselves, get to know each other and work under the 'Worth It' umbrella. Nevertheless, the difference compared to the past is the offer of a new framework, without any baggage, ready to counter corruption, promote economic development and improve the standard of life. Our focus is decentralization. I believe all of this will bring back hope among the youth so they do not see leaving the country as the only option," Mexhiti told Voice of America.
