Taravari: I still haven't decided whether I'll be Minister of Health

Gostivar, 23 May 2024 (MIA) – Gostivar mayor Arben Taravari hasn't yet decided whether he'll be part of the upcoming government as a minister. He confirmed that some of the reports by certain media outlets regarding the allocation of government departments and administrative roles are accurate.

According to Taravari, the definitive agreement between the future government partners, the Worth It and VMRO-DPMNE, may be announced today or tomorrow.

"Besides us, I hope another party, I currently don't have information from VMRO whether an agreement has been reached with ZNAM, so within the next 24 to 48 hours, it will surely be announced," said Taravari.

According to him, what was announced yesterday in several media outlets is accurate, and as he added, there will soon be official results from the negotiations.

"We haven't discussed directors yet. For ministers, from the Alliance, I said we will have a deputy prime minister, namely a minister for good governance and transparency, a minister of health, and two deputy ministers for defense and agriculture, as well as two state secretaries. I know about one for health, but I'm not sure about the other," said Taravari.

When asked by MIA whether he would become the next Minister of Health, he said he hasn't decided yet and is still considering whether to accept this role.

Taravari also commented on the election results, noting that they held an advantage on May 8, but now, as he stated, they are significantly in the lead.

“In the sixth election district, DUI has one fewer MP seat, while the Worth It has one more MP seat. So, our total number of MPs is 14, while DUI remains with 18 MPs,” Taravari said.
