Major General Lafchiski to participate in NATO Military Committee in Brussels

Skopje, 14 May 2025 (MIA) – Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski will take part Wednesday at the NATO HQ in Brussels in the Military Committee of the North Atlantic Alliance at the Chiefs of Defence level.
The Military Committee, chaired by Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, will be opened by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to address the Alliance's key priorities and challenges, the Army’s General Staff said.
In addition to representatives of the 32 NATO member countries, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), and Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) will also be in attendance.
Major General Sashko Lafchiski will address some of the sessions of the conference.
The Military Committee (MC) is the senior military authority in NATO and the oldest permanent body in NATO after the North Atlantic Council. It convenes at different levels and the highest level is at chiefs of defence level, which meets three times a year, two times at the NATO HQ and once in a NATO member.
