Spasovski, Aggeler reaffirm successful cooperation between MoI and U.S. Government

Skopje, 23 January 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski met Tuesday with U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia Angela Aggeler, who was accompanied by economic advisor Ryan Miller. 

 

Minister Spasovski expressed gratitude to Ambassador Aggeler for the long-standing U.S. Government support to the Republic of North Macedonia, specifically to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in strengthening the capacities and all processes being carried out through the projects intended for the police, the MoI said in a press release. 

 

Spasovski pointed to strategic goals in the focus of the Interior Ministry in the past period, including fight against organized crime and corruption, computer crime, migration and fight against terrorism. Most of the goals set at the level of the MoI have been successfully achieved at a high professional level with excellent results, regarding which the country received recognition and praise from top representatives of the U.S. administration at the recently held working meetings in Washington.

 

U.S. Ambassador Aggeler thanked Minister Spasovski for Tuesday's meeting, as well as for the continued excellent cooperation between North Macedonia and the United States in several spheres of social life, conveying the commitment of the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Government towards support and intensive cooperation in the coming period as well, reads the press release.
