Skopje, 18 May 2025 (MIA) -- Minister of Foreign Relations and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is on a two-day working visit to the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, at the invitation of Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal, European, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

At the meeting hosted by Liminski, Mucunski will also meet with Mark Speich, State Secretary for Federal, European and International Affairs of the State of North-Rhine Westphalia.

According to an official press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, talks will focus on ways to strengthen political and economic cooperation as well as provide support to the country's EU membership bid.

FM Mucunski will also meet with Macedonian diaspora community members and visit St. Petka church in Dusseldorf.

"The aim of this visit is to strengthen overall ties with North Rhine-Westphalia and continue the bilateral cooperation as part of the Declaration of Intent signed in 2021 as well as reaffirm the support of this German state for our country's path to the EU," the release said. mr/
