Skopje, 6 April 2023 (MIA) — Grocers and produce retailers need to stock and sell 70 percent of the quantities they sold in January and February, the government decided at a session Thursday adopting a Ministry of Economy proposal.
According to an official press release, this decision will be in force through the end of April. It follows the government-imposed price limits on some fruits and vegetables, also in force through the end of April.
The need of this decision was acknowledged at a coordination meeting between Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and government ministers with representatives of competent institutions, the release says.
Speaking at a press conference earlier on Thursday, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi publicly invited produce retailers to attend the coordination meeting and reiterated that they needed to abide by the law. mr/
