Skopje, 25 April 2025 (MIA) - Total consumption by types of energy commodities in February was 692,461 МWh of electricity, 39.165 million nm3 of natural gas, 574,134 tonnes of coal and 85,541 tonnes of petroleum products, said the State Statistical Office on Friday.

Gross national electricity production participated with 82.4% in gross national electricity consumption, while 99.4% of the total national consumption of coals was used for generation of electricity. 

Total gross electricity produced in February was 570,529 MWh, which represents 82.4% of the gross national electricity consumption.

Total natural gas consumption in February, compared to the same month in 2024, increased by 3.3 percent, while consumption of petroleum products increased by 4.5 percent.
