Postage stamp on Ohrid Agreement’s 20th anniversary promoted in Skopje
Skopje, 4 August 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Post on Wednesday unveiled a postage stamp on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Ohrid Framework Agreement. 6,000 stamps will be put in circulation, priced at 72 denars.
According to Post CEO Jani Makraduli, the Ohrid Agreement defined a new way of running politics in the country.
“It’s a privilege from this perspective to say we’d made it after taking on a burden, which was not the preferred option back then according to many opinion polls. But, we felt then that it is not only the solution for peace, stability and security, but from this perspective it means so much more,” Makraduli said, who back in 2001 was a lawmaker and as he said was part of a small group that believed in the Ohrid Agreement.
Artan Grubi, First Deputy Prime Minister, thanked Makraduli for Post being part of the group of institutions included in marking the milestone.
