Skopje, 11 September 2023 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski met with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu and Albanian President Bajram Begaj at the sidelines of the Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders' meeting in Skopje on Monday.

Pendarovski and Osmani Sadriu expressed satisfaction from the North Macedonia-Kosovo relations, which have been labeled as friendly, dynamic and based on mutual respect, the President's Office said in a press release.

It was agreed that enhancement of goodneighborly relations would contribute to progress, stability and security in the region. Interlocutors reaffirmed the interest for enhancement of cooperation in all fields of mutual interest, especially in the economic sector, while highlighting their commitment to developed infrastructure in the region.

Pendarovski and Begaj expressed satisfaction from the continued political dialogue and development of bilateral relations, expecting them to strengthen further in fields of mutual interest.

As NATO allies, the two countries are prepared to enrich bilateral cooperation, for the purpose of more active contribution in the security of the region and beyond.

Interlocutors assessed that acceleration of North Macedonia and Albania's EU accession would have a positive impact on the entire region, representing a geostrategic investment into a stable and prosperous Union, reads the press release.
