Murtezani signs request for release of pre-financing of funds within Reform Agenda

Skopje, 13 November 2024 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs, Orhan Murtezani, signed on Wednesday a request for the release of a pre-financing of 7 percent within the country's Reform Agenda, after it was approved at Tuesday's government session, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.
By sending this request in the amount of EUR 52.5 million, it adds, North Macedonia becomes the first country in the region to take all the necessary steps for pre-financing within the new European financial mechanism.
"The European Union provides seven percent of the total funds within the European Commission's Growth Plan for all partners from the Western Balkans who adopt their respective Reform Agendas, as pre-financing. This financial program, worth EUR 6 billion, covers the 2024-2027 period and aims to double the economic growth in the region in the next ten years," notes the Ministry of European Affairs.
The Ministry points out that it remains committed to the efficient use of available funds for the support of European integration and the country's economic development.
