Greek film Riviera to open Week of Francophone cinema

Skopje, 20 June 2025 (Embassy of Greece/MIA) - The Embassy of Greece in Skopje is opening this year's Week of Francophone cinema with "Riviera", a 2024 Greek & French coproduction, a bittersweet tribute to adolescence, the emotional confusion it involves, and the power to move on. The screening will take place at the Kinoteka of North Macedonia on Monday.
“Riviera” was written and directed by Orfeas Peretzis, and produced by Konstantinos Vassilaros and Alexandre Gavras. The film has won International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) Jury Prize, FOS Award for best performance, Greek Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) Award as well as Best Performance Orpheus Award at Los Angeles Greek Film Festival 2025.
Entrance to “Riviera” screening is free of charge.
This year's Francophone Film Week will take place at Kinoteka from 23 to 30 June 2025 with a rich film program and is organized by the French Institute in Skopje and the Embassy of France in Skopje, in cooperation with the Embassies of the member countries of the International Organization of the Francophonie: Greece, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Romania, North Macedonia, Albania, Belgium, France, and Canada.
