Dino Imeri to perform Goldberg Variations at Faculty of Music concert hall

Skopje, 20 April 2026 (MIA) — The Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje will celebrate its 60th anniversary Monday at 8 pm with a free concert by pianist and associate professor Dino Imeri at the faculty’s concert hall.

Imeri will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations, a piece he has practiced for six years. He said the piece was rarely performed because it requires "enormous preparation, artistic maturity and exceptional technical virtuosity."

"For me, each performance of this work is an enormous challenge, but also a feast for the soul," Imeri said, offering his best wishes on the faculty's anniversary.

Imeri recently performed the Goldberg Variations in Vienna and is scheduled to perform the piece during his upcoming tour of Germany organized by Kerzenkonzerte Deutschland.

The event will also feature Lina Bojadzhieva, who studies the piano under associate professor Marija Vrshkova. She, too, will perform compositions by Bach. mr/
