Skopje, 2 July 2024 (MIA) - The government has decided to abolish the position of economic directors in public health institutions based on amendments to the Law on Health Care, the government press office reported this afternoon.
According to the press release, the two managerial positions - organizational director and medical director - will be abolished. These positions were previously established in health centers with over 1,000 employees, university clinical centers, university clinics, clinical hospitals, and institutes.
"By taking this step, dualism will be avoided and responsibility in institutional management will be clearly defined. This action fulfils another promise made in the government's program," reads the press release.
