Customs officers seize 300 facial fillers, mostly for lips, at border with Bulgaria

Skopje, 11 August 2023 (MIA) — Customs officers at the Deve Bair border crossing with Bulgaria have prevented an attempt to smuggle into North Macedonia hundreds of Revolax injections for plumping lips and wrinkles, the Customs Administration said in a press release.
The person who tried to smuggle the facial fillers was a Kosovo citizen identified by the initials A.G., according to the release.
"Asked by a customs officer if he had anything to declare, he replied he had nothing to declare except personal luggage.
"During the routine search of the passenger's suitcase and behind the back seats, 300 pieces of facial fillers, mostly for lips, were found," the release said.
The 300 pieces of Revolax fillers were worth 9,000 euros, according to a receipt the customs officers also found in the vehicle.
The facial fillers and the vehicle have been temporarily seized and the person has been charged with smuggling. mr/
