Bochvarski holds working meeting with Austrian Minister Amon and Ambassador Pammer

Skopje, 18 October 2023 (MIA) - Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski held a working meeting on Wednesday with Minister for European and International Affairs, Education, and Human Resources of the Austrian State of Styria, Werner Amon, and newly appointed Austrian Ambassador to the country, Martin Pammer, discussing realization of capital projects under construction and the improvement of the overall infrastructure in the country. 

 

"I am glad that Austria, as EU member, provides continuous support for the Republic of North Macedonia. Today's meeting with Austrian Minister Amon and Ambassador Pammer only confirms this. We discussed the capital projects and their importance for the region. I also briefed the Minister and the Ambassador on the major capital projects and what we plan to implement in the area of ​​infrastructure and the transport sector. There are many Austrian companies in the country that work and cooperate with domestic companies, and I believe that such cooperation will continue in the future," Bochvarski said after the meeting.

 

 

He also said he has briefed the Austrian Minister and Ambassador on the large infrastructure projects implemented on Corridor 8, Corridor 10 and 10-d, as the main European corridors in the region regarding which the European Union provides support.

 

Bochvarski pointed out that in the area of the transport policy, North Macedonia is continuously aligning the national legislation with that of the European Union.

 

 

Bochvarski expressed gratitude for the cooperation so far and stressed the need to intensify such cooperation in the future as well.
