Skopje, 12 November 2021 (MIA) – Following the recent elections, the Ministry of Economy launched payment of domestic tourism vouchers for low income workers. “So, far the Ministry has paid over Mden 23 million for some 2,000 vouchers used in hotels across the country,” Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi wrote in a Facebook post on Friday. According to the 2021 domestic tourism for low income workers program, Mden 38 million have been allocated for some 3,500 households. All citizens with monthly household net income below Mden 30,000 were eligible to apply to the Economy Ministry’s public call, published on June 8. The Ministry of Economy received over 4,000 applications for domestic tourism vouchers, which expire November 30.
