Army Chief of Staff Gjurchinovski in official visit to Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Army Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, who is paying an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with his host - Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant General Senad Mašović, in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
Skopje, 31 October 2023 (MIA) - Army Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, who is paying an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with his host - Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant General Senad Mašović, in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
Gjurchinovski and Mašović discussed possibilities to enrich bilateral defense cooperation, as well as cooperation in military education taking place in the Peace Support Operations Training Centers in Sarajevo and in the Regional Center for Public Relations in Skopje.
Lieutenant General Mašović expressed gratitude for the support and education of cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the "General Mihailo Apostolski" Military Academy in Skopje. Interlocutors highlighted the traditionally good cooperation in defense, voicing expectations for further support and sharing of mutual experience between the two armies, the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.
Defense cooperation with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina takes place in the area of military education, participation in joint international exercise activities, courses at the Regional Center for Public Relations, participation in the Balkan Medical Task Force, as well as joint participation in regional security initiatives A-5 and B-9.
A delegation of the Army led by Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski will visit on Wednesday the command of the European Union's military operation “Althea” in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a meeting with the commander of the mission and a tour of the Macedonian contingent.
