Brussels, 9 May 2024 (MIA) - European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi congratulates Gordana Siljanovska Davkova on her victory in Wednesday's presidential elections.

"Congratulations to the new President of North Macedonia! Looking forward to working with President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to speed up the necessary reforms to move forward in the EU accession negotiation process," Várhelyi wrote on X.

In response to his post, Siljanovska Davkova thanked Várhelyi for his congratulations, expressing readiness for cooperation in realizing "the most important Macedonian strategic project."

"Thank you very much, Mr. Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi! As one of the founders of the European Movement in Macedonia (and former Yugoslavia), I look forward to working with the EU Commission to finish the most important Macedonian strategic project," Siljanovska Davkova wrote on X.
