Skopje, 25 November 2023 (MIA) - The Directorate for Technological-Industrial Development Zones (TIDZ) has published a call for construction photovoltaic power stations in economic zones Skopje 1, Skopje 2, Shtip, Strumica, Prilep and Struga.
The goal is to make use of land within the zones, namely lots that are not suitable for construction of production facilities. DITZ wants to contribute to the strengthening of the country's energy capacities and acceleration of the transition towards an economy based on green energy, the Directorate said in a press release on Saturday.
The investment is worth EUR 40 million, an amount that could be covered by more companies, both domestic and foreign.
The state will get a percentage of the revenues of each investing company, along with an additional fixed fee for the land. The contracts will be made for a period of 25 years, and according to the study developed by renowned international accountant and consulting company Grant Thornton, the fixed fee alone is projected at EUR 14 million over this period. These funds will be used to cover the costs for the land preparation in the zones and other infrastructure works for the purpose of faster and more successful realization of these investment projects. A portion of the funds will also be used to finance other DITZ initiatives supporting young people, reads the press release.
The call is open for the next 35 days and is available at https://e-nabavki.gov.mk/PublicAccess/home.aspx#/dossie/481b0066-7c8e-4e63-ae81-8e1442c487d6/1
